Last updated October 7, 2026. Tools for X adds small tools to x.com. Its Share with AI tool turns a post into a short-lived link that AI assistants can read. It uploads only the post you click, and deletes it after 10 minutes. This policy covers every tool in the extension and will list any new one before it ships.
What is uploaded
Nothing, until you click the share button on a post. Then the extension sends that post and the author's replies in its thread to tldr-api.shrikar.dev: the post links, text, author name, handle, time, and links to the post's images on X. The service turns them into a public link.
Who can see it
Anyone who has the link can open it for 10 minutes. After that the copy is deleted automatically and the link stops working. Shared pages tell search engines not to index them.
Nothing about you
No account, no email, no name, no cookies, no ads, no analytics. The extension makes a random id for each install, and the service stores only a scrambled copy of it to limit uploads per hour, deleted within the hour. Your recent links are saved only in your browser and are removed when you remove the extension. We never sell data.
